Police appeal for help after man’s body found at Queensland boat ramp

A man’s body has been found at a Queensland boat ramp without injuries sparking a police appeal for the public’s help.

Officers went to bushland near the Twin Waters boat ramp on the Sunshine Coast around 5.40pm yesterday where bushwalkers had made the grim discovery of a 49-year-old man’s body.

The man didn’t appear to be injured and a post mortem will be carried out to figure out how he died.

Police are calling on anyone who visited the boat ramp on Nojoor Road yesterday between 8am and 5.40pm to come forward.

“Police would also like to speak to anyone who saw the man or his vehicle, a 2012 silver Hyundai Accent, parked in the boat ramp carpark on Nojoor Road,” police said in a statement.

The 49-year-old is described as being of a fair complexion, around 170cm tall, with brown hair.

He was wearing black clothing and a black rain jacket.
