Bethenny Frankel says Kim Kardashian’s skincare line is ‘impractical at best’ and compares packaging to Rubik’s Cube in brutally honest review
Bethenny Frankel gave a brutally honest review of Kim Kardashian’s new skincare line, SKKN by Kim.
The 51-year-old assessed two SKKN products, the $55 exfoliator and $75 eye cream, in video posted to her TikTok account on Monday.
While Bethenny ultimately was happy with the ‘quality’ skincare products, she slammed the packaging as ‘impractical at best’, compared it to a Rubik’s Cube, and overall graded them as being ‘likely somewhat overpriced.’

The former Real Housewives Of New York star rocked a white bathrobe and head full of wet hair as she gave fans the lowdown.
She first took issue with the egg-shaped packaging of the eye cream.
‘The packaging. This is an eye cream, it is bulbous, I don’t understand it, because it doesn’t stack… it doesn’t even have a flat bottom, so it’s effectively like an egg. I guess it has a tiny little flat bottom but that’s impractical at best,’ she explained.
She also had a bone to pick with the exfoliator, a scrub which came in a bulky container Bethenny imagined would be difficult to travel with.

‘I don’t understand it’: Frankel was tough on the egg-shaped design of the product
‘This is crazy!’ she began. ‘It’s gigantic! How are you going to travel with this? If you don’t have a private plane, you have to be a billionaire to use this product because if you don’t have a private plane, how are you traveling with this?
‘It’s just not practical, and I’m a very practical and organized person. This shocks me because don’t the Kardashians organize their jelly beans by color?’
She hilariously compared it to a Rubik’s Cube as she attempted to open the package.
‘Oh my god it’s a Rubik’s Cube!’ she said. ‘Hear that sound? That’s satisfying,’ she said as she attempted to open the product before deeming it ‘bulk-o’.

While Bethenny was tough on the packaging, she was happy with the actual product itself.
However, she said it was unlikely worth the hefty price tag.
‘The actual product of the exfoliant has a little bit of a fragrance, no problem! And it’s got those micro white granules, you know we’ve seen them before, I feel like it was Proactiv or somebody else had those micro white granules, different lines have them. I like that form of exfoliating,’ she said.
Final grade: Frankel said the products were ‘unlikely’ worth the cost
‘Is it worth the money they’re charging? Unlikely. And as far as the eye cream, luxurious product, very nice, like a melted butter consistency, but not like ultra rich. I would feel like for this price tag it’d be Chantecaille, Sisley rich. It’s not Kardashian rich. It’s richer than I am maybe, but it’s not Kardashian rich.
‘This is definitely good skincare, this is quality, I just think it’s extremely impractical in its packaging, I know that very ecologically sound, it’s a good quality product that’s likely somewhat overpriced but most beauty is overpriced.’
Bethenny posted the video to her TikTok account Monday, where she captioned it: ‘And the most impractical packaging award goes to…’ along with a string of hashtags.
